Eagle Eye is a public 18-hole golf club located in Bath, Michigan, near East Lansing and The University of Michigan. Eagle Eye Golf Club is part of Hark Hollow, a popular 27-hole layout across the street from Eagle Eye.
Eagle Eye Golf Club opened for play on August 1, 2003. The course was designed by Chris Lutzke, in collaboration with Pete Dye.
Eagle Eye has two personalities, it's an open links-style course on the front nine, from #10 thru #14, the back nine goes into a stand of colorful trees and doesn't come out until #15. Golfers who play this course always comment about #17, a par-3 island green hole, which is a good duplication of the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,323 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,105 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 598 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 146 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 210-yard par-3 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Eagle Eye Golf Course is # 14, a 560 yard par-3.

Played here years ago and was invited to play again by my friend Mark P............so off we went. For Senior public play, you won't find anything that gives you challenge / quality for $49 like Eagle Eye within 50 miles of here.
With five (5) sets of tees, they have eight (8) Par 72 yardage variations from 7,323yd / 75.9 / 145 down to 5,105yd / 65.4 / 119 to accommodate every level of player. We chose the Blues that played 6,412yds / 71.4 / 136 on this rolling Links, lake lined, sand/grass trap protected greens that were rolling 8-10 as they dried out. The landing areas we picked were about 230yds to the trouble areas so we adjusted accordingly but it gave us longer yardages to the large/holding greens for our shots coming in.
The course is stretched in acreage with no "Side by Side" holes to be bothered by errant shots or distracts from other players. No real straightforward holes as Pete Dye had a hand in the layout so trouble will sooner than later find your weakness and make you pay.
The #17 146yd Par 3 is an Island layout like #17 at Sawgrass, and all four (4) of us parred it from 126yds which was a highlight for all of us.
I shot 48/42 w/37putts because of #2 157yd / Par 3 deep greenside bunker that took three shots out and then a three back for salt on the wound, which still has me replaying it every day. Mark P had a 43/44 w/35putts and we all had a good time talking about later in the Spartan Cafe afterwards.
If in the area you must stop and play this great conditioned and challenging course in East Lansing.

Played here on Labor Day ($89) with son Jeremy and Mark P on this clear cool morning. We played again from the Blues 3,097yd / 3,315yd Par 36/36 on this top shelf golf destination in the East Lansing area. I won't bore you with course information other than......WoW !! Reread my last years comments for course highlights. Treatment from unloading your bag, free shag range, starter on #1, cart girl 5 times ands of course.....course conditions are excellent. Smooth tee boxes, forgiving fairways, well mowed grass heights, soft fluffed sand traps, very fast (10) large smooth greens that will screw with your head. All carts have "Touch Screen" graphic GPS and Par 3's have todays yardage marker to the hole. It doesn't get any better than this for Holiday golfing. We all played tight today with Mark 41/45 w/29putts, Jeremy 47/37 w/36putts, Me at 40/45 w/38putts as Jeremy Birdied the last two (2) holes....pulling ahead for the win. Great fun on this Must Play course if your in the area.
